How to replace the covering of YASHICA TLR

Please prepare,
1. disinfectant ether alcohol ... you could buy at pharmacy or drugstore. You can use Benzine or Zippo oil instead of alcohol.
2. Paint Brush
3. Small philips head and flathead screwdriver
4. Cotton swab.

Take out 3 screws place on allowheads.		Do not lose small screws.

After take 3 screws out, you can remove this part.		There are also 3 screws on the opposite side, take them out, too.

Pull out iron bar.		There is a small O shape ring, on allowhead.

This is very important part, do not lose it.		These parts are what you took out.

Open the backdoor. Remove original coverings separately.		Remove original covering from the edge with flat head screw driver.

Remove slowly.		You can remove easily with wetting down with alcohol on adhesive joining part.

		Take out the battery box cover.

Remove all the coverings.		You can keep original covering if you want. You can reuse them.

Clean up remaining adhesive bond with cotton swab dipped alcohol.		Start installing the new coverings.

Let's start from this side.		Take out the battery box cover.

Reverse the new covering and wet down the alcohol on adhesive face with paint brush.		Apply the covering before the alcohol gets dry. The alcohol delays the adhesion and allows you time to position and adjust the skin, before alcohol gets dry.

Adjust the place like the photo above.		Place the battery box cover.

Then proceed the opposite side.		Reverse the new covering and wet down the alcohol on adhesive face with paint brush. The same process as you did on 21.

Apply before the alcohol gets dry.		This side finished.

I recommend you to cut the red line. It will be easier to apply the front side.		If you are enough confident, you can keep uncut and squeeze into the shutter button.

This is the most difficult part to apply. Wet down the alcohol on adhesive face with paint brush as you did on 21, then squeeze into the shutter button.		You have applied all the parts.

Assemble strap lugs from accessory shoe's part.		Set screws to the appropriate places. This screw (accessory shoe's screw) is diffrerent from the others.

		Place the backdoor.

Prepare iron bar.		Insert iron bar.

Do not forget O shape ring.		Place O shape ring on allowhead.

Set screws to the appropriate places.		Close the backdoor.

Finished. I guess install process is not difficult than you think. Please remember the alcohol delays the adhesion and allows you time to position and adjust the skin. You can use benzine or Zippo oil instead of alcohol.
